The capital of the Muttock Kingdom was Rangagora, Tinsukia (Bengmara). The city was built by King Sarbananda Singha and his minister Gopinath Barbaruah. The Muttock Kingdom existed from 1788–1842. During the reign of the last Muttock King, Sarbananda Singha, many ponds and tanks were created around the capital city.
